ASICS SportStyle x TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist. launches their First Collaboration Shoes "GEL-QUANTUM 360™ VII"
Traditional Chelsea boot construction is combined with the GEL-QUANTUM 360™ VII technical sole.
The shoes are inspired by the Chelsea boots worn by groups of British rock bands that designer Takahiro Miyashita admires. The upper of the shoe is made of polished leather with suede accents on the heel and pull tab. Stretch webbing around the ankle also gives the boots a classic look.
The design philosophy of TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist. is to create elements that "seem to be symbolized but are not, and on the other hand, seem not to be symbolized but are symbolized. This pair of shoes fully demonstrates that design philosophy of TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist.
The base "GEL-QUANTUM 360™ VII" incorporate key running technologies developed at the ASICS Sports Engineering Laboratory for everyday use.
Scutoid GEL™ technology is incorporated around the midsole for superior shock cushioning. FF BLAST™ cushioning in the heel of the midsole has been fine-tuned to enhance the shock-absorbing properties of the shoe's rearfoot area, combining superior functionality and design.
"GEL-QUANTUM 360™ THE CHELSEA" will be available at select ASICS SPORTSTYLE stores, sneaker stores, and select stores, in addition to TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist.'s directly operated stores (Aoyama, Kanazawa, Fukuoka) and the official online store.

Takahiro Miyashita
Born in Tokyo in 1973. He did not attend fashion school, but taught himself how to make clothes. After working as a planner and buyer for NEPENTHES, he became independent and established KOOKS CO.,LTD. in November 1996, launching "NUMBER (N)INE". On February 20, 2009, he announced that he would leave NUMBER (N)INE after the 2009 autumn and winter season and dissolve the label. On September 9, 2011, he opened the his first store, the "grocerystore." (now renamed "TakahiromiyashitatheSoloist.AOYAMA") in Aoyama. In January 2018, he was selected as the main guest designer for the 93rd Pitti Immagine Uomo and held a joint show for the 2018 autumn and winter collection with UNDERCOVER in Florence. From January 15, 2019, he returned to the main schedule of Paris Fashion Week for the first time in 2009, and held a runway show of his autumn and winter 2019 collection.
